German WWII Luftschutz, model M38 Gladiator Steel Helmet

In 1938 the Luftschutz (LS) was formed.The helmets a 3 piece Gladiator got a new dark blue color and also a decal of the Luftschutz was placed on the front of these helmets. It changed from a voluntary service to a compulsory one in 1943 and women were included.
