In silver on a raised ground of blue cloth, the Sphinx over Egypt. Above the Sphinx in gold and silver embroidery, the Prince of Wales’s plume, the motto in silver embroidery on a blue silk ground. On each side a laurel branch in gold embroidery. A blue silk, gold embroidered scroll inscribed “The Prince of Wales’s Volunteers”.
