History= Prussia and Austria allied to defeat Denmark in the Second Schleswig War. The conflict arose over the control of the duchies of Schleswig and Holstein. The war ended with the Treaty of Vienna, where Denmark ceded the territories of Schleswig, Holstein, and Lauenburg to Prussia and Austria.
