WW2 German Special Force unit not unlike The L.R.D.G.
The very scarce tropical Commando Unit patch of Sonderverband 288. This special unit was made up out of Arab speaking Germans and local Arabs who wore this patch on their tropical uniforms.

Sonderverband or Special Unit 288 was formed in Potsdam, Germany on July 1, 1941.

Made in Bevo Weave and removed from uniform.
