WW2 War Raised Unit

A nicely matched pair of other ranks white metal collar badges. Some loss of detail through polishing to the brickwork on the towers,but otherwise in good overall condition and scarce. Worn 1940 - 1945.

The badge reflects the regiments which provided the first cadres from the 4/7th Dragoon Guards and the 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards, the star of the former and the castle of the latter.
