This is an early Belgian Gendarmerie Kepi for Other ranks of the National Police (Rijkswacht) which was part of the Belgian Army. With a dark blue wool body, with red piping. Bound visor, and silver wire decoration and cording.Red silk-like material lining, with a Gent retailers label inside, simple brown leather sweatband.
